Simple, that Walt needs to man up and make a few more moves. Like..

1. Fire Dusty
2. Bring up Chris V. to play infield backup
3. Bring up Horst from AAA for the pen

Depends on what others say first, he will come back to argue that point.

how about the "hitting" of Paul Janish:

.106/.157/.149 for the month of May, most in the 2nd spot of the lineup. For comparison
.134/.165/.168 are the season averages for NL Pitchers

Janish is a horrible hitter, always has been. He isn't in there for his bat, he is in there because he is top 3 best SS in the field and that alone is why you play him. You bat him 8th, but our "manager" seems to think having your worse hitter hit 8th is a bad idea.....

Exactly. Why is Dusty getting a pass from the media about his butchering of lineups and constant platooning of players (especially the ones that suck) and not giving several guys a chance to get into a rhythm (see Heisey). Who in their right mind could possibly think batting Janish or ER 2nd is a quality move?

What could possibly be wrong with this lineup most every day....
Stubbs
BP
Votto
Bruce
Rolen
Ramon/Hanny (maybe in front of Rolen until he decides it's ok to take a walk)
Heisey
Janish

His .114 BABIP indicates to me he is just unlucky ;)

So all we need for you to quit posting here is to:

1. DFA Gomes
2. DFA Renteria
3. Fire Dusty
4. Call up Valaika
5. Call up Horst?

That's it, i'm calling Walt now. For the good of the board

1. Keep Dusty and Walt
2. Rotation of: Homer, Cueto, Arroyo, Wood, Sam (Volquez or Leake can EARN the trip back to Cincy
3. Make a deal with Mets for Reyes and Beltran (Leake or Volquez, Heisey, Grandal, Lotzkar)
4. Reyes, Phillips, Votto, Beltran, Bruce, Rolen, Stubbs, Hernannigan
5. Win the whole thing and then worry about 2012- The future is NOW
6. Bring back George Grande

Just paying them for this season
The Reds are not exactly running a payroll like the Red Sox or Yanks
Being in the race, drawing 35,000 a night will fill Bob's pockets plenty
"Winning takes care of everything"
Great quote from the great Huggy Bear

You are right, but our payroll is already high and taking on both would mean probably an additional 10 million this season. also I don't see the Reds drawing 35,000 per night, maybe 20-25,000 per night and better on weekend series.

What are we drawing right now?
Maybe 23,000 and it's not yet super summertime
It's not my money, so obviously I'd do it
The more I think about it, the more I want Reyes in a CIncy uni
