You can watch the Dragons game online tonight - http://www.whiotv.com/7weathernow/index.html It is a free one.
They are up 1-0.
Just walked in the door, haven't had a chance to check other games just yet.

0-0, bats coming up in the 2nd.

Fireworks in Jacksonville. A reversed call gets Manager Bell and Coach Jackson tossed.

Dayton up 2-0 in the first, 2 runners on and still hitting.

Ryan Jackson gets tossed with his two sons in the dugout. Costanzo may well have to be a base coach tonight.

2-2 after 3 1/2. Avery has only given up one hit but walked three batters.

After five innings Jax up 4-2.
Josh Smith is rolling along nicely tonight. Dayton up 3-1 after five. Hamilton is 2/3 with a 3B, D'Anna 2/3 with two 2B.
Edit: Oops, Smith gave up a run in the sixth. 3-2.
Volquez, Bats lead 2-1 after six. Volquez doing well, I suppose, but has only one K with three BB.
The two runs have come on homers from Francisco and Negron.
Alonso with a 3-run shot. Bats lead 5-1 after eight. Volquez went 6.2.
Yorman drove in a run with a triple. Dayton leads 4-2 after eight.
Carolina falls 4-3. Adkins (2 IP) and the new kid, Hamulack, combined for three scoreless innings with 4 K. Kahaulelio homered.
Louisville wins 5-1. Francisco had two hits. Mesoraco had two walks.
Dayton wins 4-2. Howell got the save over 1.2 IP. Drew Hayes pitched 1.1 with 4 K, tying a minor-league record.
All three pitchers on the night--Smith, Hayes and Howell--have ERAs in the ones.

Volquez's final line:
6 2/3 IP 5 H 1 ER 4 BB 2 K on 112 pitches with 69 strikes.
I would like to see some better control out of Volquez, however he did do fine in the first inning with a pop out, groundout, and then a single followed by the runner being caught stealing.

Some nice performances tonight out of key players: Volquez with the win (although I'm concerned about his pitch efficiency, command and lack of strikeouts), Yonder Alonso with a 3-run HR, Juan Francisco with two knocks, Billy Hamilton with a two-hit night, Yorman Rodriguez with a triple and Josh Smith (who needs to move up to A+ soon) with another good showing on the mound.
And say what you want about Carolina, but the Mudcats are consistent this year. You can usually count on them to put up an L on any given night. Ha. (Sorry Muddy, couldn't resist.)
Bakersfield trails 7-3 after seven, in spite of HRs by Richburg and H. Rodriguez.
