I always wondered what MLB whould have done if the Reds hadn't have had that rained out game against the Giants, that I mentioned in an erlier thread, that I went to back in May of that season. If the Reds had went on and won that game this would have made a tie. I always assumed the Dodgers and Reds would have had a one game playoff to start the 2nd half.
BTW I thought like your friend. I thought the Reds would win the 2nd half anyway.
