Carolina at Jackson, Tennessee tonight. Klinker posted on his twitter account a few minutes ago that Chapman will get the start and he will follow.

Last series before the AS break.

He must be on the slow bus to Carolina...

I can't believe he is still just 29. He is in his seventh ML organization. This time the D-backs.

Either Grandal is nursing an injury or he's been promoted to AA. Hopefully the latter.

Carolina extends its winning streak to one, 7-0. It's the Mudcats' second shutout of the season, and both times Matt Klinker has been the winning pitcher. Assistance came this time from Chapman, James Adkins and Joseph.

28 pitches for Chapman to get through one inning. Not good.

Not good enough for the Reds bullpen, either. He shouldn't be taking Horst's spot just when the Reds are starting to heat up and risking our major leads while ensuring he won't be available to pitch for days afterwards. Working with the AAA coaches again would probably do him good. I know there's value in holding onto option years, but with a guy as volatile as Chapman in a division race as close as the NL central, you really have to consider burning one, even if he won't be working on starting.

Eric Campbell with his first AA homerun for the Mudcats.

Regular ABs, please. I still think he's a prospect.

Could not agree more. This guy needs to play.
