Normally I am not one to want to see players released, sent down, whatever the case may be but I have absolutely seen enough of Janish as an everyday SS. Renteria isn't an option either so maybe it's time to call someone up, make a deal, something. Also, can we please stop with the Chris Heisey in LF nonsense? He is solid right now as a PH and defensive replacement. He is absolutely not an everyday player.

And while they are at it the can send Arredondo back to wherever he came from.

Couldn't agree more, it was obvious Janish wouldn't cut it before the season started. Just as it's been obvious the last few seasons they needed a legit RH power bat, but addressing needs doesn't seem to be the front offices "thing".

i was there at the game tonight. absolutely disappointed that edgar renteria was dusty baker's choice to pinch hit in the last at bat for ryan hanigan. i dont know what dusty baker has for renteria, but it looks like the same thing he had for willy taveras and corey patterson. its sick and i am tired of all this crap. i had big expectations for this team and the front office and the coaching is holding them back.

I am OK with Janish as long as he plays GG defense, he does seem to be making more errors this year though, but if you look at his dWAR and UZR150 and if you believe those numbers he is still an elite defensive player. Heisey, I dunno I still think you have to give him a chance, although I would love to see them bring up Sappelt or Alonso. I wholeheartedly agree on Arredondo, he has shown me nothing that leads me to believe he can hold a lead or a tie game. He has only pitched "ok" when we are behind or way out ahead.

We need a shortstop and/or a left fielder. That's pretty much it. I get that Janish plays good defense, but when your shortstop goes up to bat and you just include him at the next out, I'm not ok with that. Same goes with left field. If the front office doesn't try and get a high end shortstop or fielder, I will believe they've given up

The fact is every game the Reds have 7 hitters in the lineup and 2 guaranteed outs. The pitcher and whoever our SS is. That is not ok, and a change needs to be made ASAP.

I think they have 6 hitters and usually 3 guaranteed outs if Gomes is playing.

Two guaranteed outs. Three if Heisey is playing.

Gomes is on one of his hot streaks right now....why Dusty isn't riding it is anybody's guess. Lewis can at least make contact.
