Austin Kearns started the rally with a walk, and PH David Ross (batting for Jason Standridge) drew another walk to put runners on first and second. Quinton McCracken pinch-ran for Ross. Rich Aurilia then pinch-hit for Scott Hatteberg and delivered an infield single to 3B to load the bases for Brandon Phillips, who lined a single up the middle to score Kearns and McCracken.
