Teams records scoring 4 runs or less:
Team - W-L - W/L%
Reds 10-31 .3225
Braves 19-35 .5428
Giants 24-30 .8
Phillies 22-28 .7857
Brewers 15-29 .5172
Cards 15-25 .60
Pirates 15-33 .45
It's pretty evident what separates the other teams from the Reds.I think it's pitching. As I said in another post,I believe success hinges on Bailey and Volquez, unless change is made.It might be good if someone checked my math.

I think you have your numbers messed up but every team you listed is below .500 when scoring 4 or less.

my contigent is if the reds face phila or sf in the playoffs they wont out pitch anyway so beef up the offense so they can have a chance to score 4runs/g.

yes bailey and volquez are keys but neither will probably be an ace but they need to do well enough for us to win 4-3 games.

still believe SS needs a significant upgrade.

Sorry the % was misleading, fixed it.The purpose was to show that all other teams on list won more games than the Reds when they were only able to score 4 runs or less. Thanks Webb.

I am not convinced that either Bailey or EV are long term answers for this team. If healthy and such I like Cueto/Bronson/Leake/Wood/Chapman

I think they are it at least until the trade deadline is near,at that point I believe it will be too late, unless they perform better from now till then.Hope they perform or I'm wrong.

volquez and bailey just need to be good enough to get us to the playoffs. i have no idea what EV is gonna do start to start but at this point ill take an effective 5th starter.

bailey just needs to stay healthy and i think hes at worse a 3rd man in the rotation starter.
