They rated the 75 Reds as being the 2nd best team of all time, only falling behind the '27 Yankees.

Shouldn't the 76 Reds be better? I mean come on the 75 team barely won the World Series while the 76 Reds dominated. The 76 Reds are my favorites, never in doubt against the Phils and Yanks for a 7 game sweep.

Rose, Griffey, Morgan, Bench, Perez, Foster, Concepcion, Geronimo

3 in the HOF. Rose should be based on player credentials. Concepcion was the best SS of his era. Geronimo might have been the best defensive CFer of his era, including batting .307 in either '75 or '76. Foster was the premier NL power hitter of his time in the late 70's, hitting 52 one season. Griffey was a batting title contender there for awhile. Just a great team all around. Probably never see one like it again in terms of offense AND defense. I heard one time (unless I heard it wrong) that when all of them were in the same lineup at the same time (which was rare because of injuries), they won like 80% of their games.

I just think there was more parity when the Reds did it. The Yankees had very little competition.
