It was his first start since hurting his foot and hes out of the game out after 95 pitches

I thought the same thing. With 95 pitches through six there was no way he was going all the way.

Well crap. What an easy guy to root for, I would have loved to see him go for it. I wonder at this point in his career and with his team out of the race, if he didn't consider saying 'the heck with it, I'm going for the no-no'...

I didn't notice the pitch count. Unfortunate for him. Hopefully his bullpen can hold it down for him. Being a part of a no-no, is still an accomplishment

Sounds like a Reds intra-squad scrimmage.

This is still going now through 8. Still scoreless still only 1 hit between the teams. Padres have already used 4 pitchers in the combined effort.

There's so much incentive beyond the obvious. I'm sure it would feel great to stick it to a rival!

Juan Uribe...ugh! With 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th, hits a double.

Uribe just busted it up with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th.

Still 0-0 though

8.2 IP of no hit ended by Uribe's double. GG for Harang, glad to see him pitching well again.

I admit I'm a Harang super-fan. Tonight, he pitched 7 innings of 5-hit ball with no runs, walked one and struck out four. His ERA is now 3.19. I'm so happy for him. Nice guys need to be successful. I'll never forget his tearful goodbye when he came in relief in his last game with the Reds. Aaron was the leader of the pitching staff in the dark days of Cincinnati Reds history. I want him to win 20 games this year. He won't, but the big guy deserves a great season after all the trials and tribulations of his stint with the Reds.

Hopefully he'll have a start when the Padres are in town next month.

Hopefully he'll have a start when the Padres are in town next month. And then I have to root against him, which is tough for me. And yet I will. As much as I admire Aaron, what his pitching did for the Reds when he was here and his community involvement, the Reds come first. That said, if we fall short against him, I'll be glad for him. The large contract given him by a former GM was not his fault. It was a typical knee-jerk reaction, but Aaron gave back to the community in many ways. And GABP was not the perfect venue for a flyball pitcher. But I root for him when he's playing anyone but the Reds. The last 13 innings he's pitched, his line is 13 IP, 5 Hits, 0 runs. Sort of Cueto-like. We could use some of that in Cincy.

As of today, he is 9-2 with a 3.45 ERA and he outpitched Cliff Lee today!

Think of a rotation headed up by Harang and Micah Owings. Lights out

Harang and Heath Bell to the Cardinals for Colby Rasmus makes a lot of sense to me. I have no knowledge of any inside info and haven't heard it anywhere. Its just my own thoughts of teams matching up. I wouldn't be shocked though.
