Any postgame news on Chapman and if he really was hurt at all during the pickoff tonight? You all think that Dusty will use him tomorrow?

I think he was. It was pretty clear in the replay that he twisted his ankle when running down Hart. At first I just thought he needed to catch his breath. Haha

Cozart should have pumped fake once and it would have been over. They did not have to have Chapman end up having to run him down.

Chapman is extremely fast. He closed the gap with Hart quickly.

Chapman didn't have to run him down. He wanted to. I thought he was going to toss it back to Votto/Phillips, but instead he pulled it down. You could almost see him grin as he did it, like he was finally getting a chance to do something athletic.

You knew that with the ball firmly gripped in his glove that there was no way for him to throw to the middle infielder for the tag.

Little League 101: you run at the base runner with the ball held high in your bare hand so the the receiver of the final throw can easily follow the flight of the ball to make the tag.

Corollary: Do NOT pump fake the ball! You only serve to bluff your own teammates that way.

He seemed fine in his 2 innings yesterday
