Dawson flipped out, and threw hit bat at West from the Cubs' dugout before leaving. In the bottom of the eighth inning, Reds RHP Rob Dibble was ejected after fielding a bunt by Doug Dascenzo and attempting to hit him with a throw. RHP Jack Armstrong replaced Dibble on the mound.
