Reds

Leon (Bull) Durham (54)- Woodward High graduate who got to play for the hometown team at the end of a long, successful career.

John Vukovich (64)- Will always have a place in Reds history, though not the place he would have wanted.

Elmer Riddle- Largely forgotten now; he went 19-4, 2.24 for the 1941 Reds, then won 21 in 1943. Shoulder issues got him after that, but he rebounded to have a nice year for the Pirates in '48. His older brother Johnny, a catcher, played with him on both the Reds And the Pirates.

Others:

Gabe Kapler (36)- Had his best year at age 24, but stuck around for another decade.

Vic Davalillo (75)- Brother of Yo-Yo Davalillo. Played in the major leagues at age 43.

Hank Bauer- Yankee OF of the Stengel era described as having "a face like a clenched fist". I didn't look it up, but as I recall he was the Orioles manager immediately preceding Earl Weaver.

Laughing Larry Doyle- A key member of John McGraw's Giant teams; NL MVP in 1912.

Bob Borkowski

Also, from the late 40s and early 50s: infielder Billy Hitchcock who played for several AL teams. A baseball card kinda guy. :)
