John Wettelend (45) Okay, he was only a Red for eleven days, and it was in the offseason...wish it had been more.

Frank Pastore (54)

Bruce Berenyi (57) I didn't know these two shared a birthday.

Jim Beauchamp- Spare-part OF in '68 and '69. Died in 2007.

Charlie Gould- First baseman for the 1869 Red Stockings. Buried in Cincinnati's Spring Grove Cemetary, so I guess he lived in town after his playing days.

Craig Counsell (41) I always liked him, but he's 41 now and he just tied a major league record by going 45 at bats without a hit, so it's getting pretty obvious he's squeezed the last bit of juice out of his career. Future manager?

Karl "Tuffy" Rhodes (43) From Western Hills High to Japan.

Felix Millan (68) A lithe, graceful 2B who would have been nicknamed "the cat" even if his name hadn't been Felix. Left the major leagues in 1977 after an ugly incident when he hit Ed Ott with a bat. Went to Japan and won the batting title.

Cannonball Titcomb- Can't exclude a name like that.

Frank Pastore is now a somewhat famous christian talk show host out of California.

I didn't know Frank Pastore was three years younger than Bruce Berenyi. If anything, I would have thought he was older.

I was told a friend who was a Mets fan that Pastore and Berenyi would be the Reds version of Seaver and Koosman. I was just a bit off lol

Millan used to choke up on the bat like nobody and was almost impossible to strike out.

Tuffy Rhodes had his 15 minutes of fame Opening Day one year. He hit 3 HR's and was never heard from since except in Japan.

Felix Millan always makes me think of a younger Cheech Marin...

Why don't we add Gerry Staley to this list? He pitched most of 1955 for the Reds and spent 15 seasons in the majors. Always seemed to be a classy kind of guy.
