Stubbs has struck out twice tonight giving him 172 K's so far.

He could set the record.

he's on pace to fall just short of the record by about 13 K's

He's trying his hardest to make up ground though

At least the Big Donkey would give you 40 bombs.

Stubbs is 27 years old, hits 15 homers & strikes out 200 times.

I don't care how good you are defensively (he is horrible coming in on the ball, with his speed he should be making diving catches coming in all the time), when you hit .240 with 15 homeruns and strike out 200 times you ain't no everyday baseball player on a team that fancies itself as a playoff contender.

Add Center Field to Reds needs. Stubbs is a first round bust.

Those extra ABs he is missing out on now that he is no longer leading off could be crucial.

I see the Reds sitting him more so he WON'T break the record. Bad for his confidence. I wouldn't mind seeing Sappelt out there to see what he can do. Hopefully, it would be more than 3 games, though. Also, Heisey returns soon, so he could play a little in CF.

The big donkey is the laughing stock of mlb now.
