It looks like Nike is actually going to introduce the Air Mag shoes from Back to the Future, Part II. The screen shot above is from a video posted by DocEmmettBrown88 (get it?) and while the shoes you’re looking at are probably renders, the viral campaign to promote them is certainly real, as that NiceKicks has been reporting. It has been short, though, starting last night and leading up to a Nike press conference at 8:30 pm Pacific. Nike actually already has a patent for “footwear with an automatic lacing system,” which helps make this all seem more likely than it would otherwise.

Shouldn't Nike release this in 2015 instead?

I will pass on the shoes if I can land myself a Mr. Fusion instead. :D

I'd prefer to have that sports almanac for the next 4 years thankyou.

If they were actually auto-lace, that'd be more awesomer.

These without auto-lace is really stupid. Can't wait until they release the hover-board without the hover and a sports almanac without any scores.

I like the fact that the auctions are going for $9,000, but note that they do offer free shipping.
