Way to go Walt. I thought D-Train pitched quite well this year. His record was deceiving because it seemed like on his outings we were unable to score, or score enough to get him the win. I was hoping we'd bring him back for another year.

Why would we want him back. He pitched okay but nothing great and not anything better then what we have.

I find it a lost to the team due to his hitting alone.

If ur looking for a 5 ERA, 1.52 WHIP, .271BAA and only 75 innings in 13 starts then Dtrain is your guy.

He would've been a good lefty out of the pen (or off the bench) but he had no shot at the starting rotation. At least, I hope Walt will make some moves that would have given him no shot at the starting rotation.

Phillies singed him to a 1 year 1 million dollar contract and the Reds could not keep him at that price WTH

We don't really need a LOOGY, even at that price. Dude was nasty against leftys but a liability against everyone else. I'm not sure I'd even be comfortable with him as a long man. He would not have made the rotation and would likely be AAA fodder.

It was a cool story last year, but isn't quite worth the roster sport, IMHO.

I was kinda hopin we would keep him. now its pretty much up to wood to get that 5th spot. I have a feeling this is going to be a lost year for Chapman. We just continue to ruin him. shiould have just left him in the BP, could have been our closer.

D-Train is rolling out of the bullpen this year it seems.

The Phillies announced that they have signed left-hander Dontrelle Willis to pitch out of the bullpen. The contract is worth approximately $1MM and includes performance bonuses for the Sosnick Cobbe client, ESPN.com's Jerry Crasnick reports. “Dontrelle, I believe, is at a point in his career where he is ready to make the transition to being an effective reliever,” GM Ruben Amaro Jr. said in a statement. The Mariners, Blue Jays, Red Sox and Reds also had interest in Willis as a reliever, Crasnick reports.

That's a cold slap-in-the-face. One million is too rich for this franchise.

Best of luck to him, I have always enjoyed watching him, for his love of the game/seems to always be having fun playing if nothing else.

Love his attitude and character but we already have a punch of pitchers at or above his level. I'll miss seeing him bat though!

Good Luck Dontrelle. You had a long road back to the bigs. Best of luck to you.

Meh, people have been predicting the come back year of Willis for like 5 years now. The smart money (or halfway intelligent money) is against it

He hasn't been any good since 2006. I don't get the infatuation.

Willis took his first steps down the road back in 2011 with the Reds. I enjoyed his time with the Reds as much as he seemed to. If he has a big year in 2012, then good for him! He's worked for it.
