What about Jake Peavy as an option. The White Sox are wanting to get younger and might be wiiling to eat a good part of his contract. He's in a contract year so he would be pitching good for a long term deal plus he has an option. I don't know what it would cost to get him (depending on how much we offer)but I was thinking like they eat 10 million and we give them D Corcino, Y Rodrigeuz, and E Volquez might get it done maybe more maybe less not sure how they value him.

The guy hasn't thrown over 115 IP since 2008, when he threw 175! In the words of DatDudeBP - #nobueno!

Among Jair Jurrjens, Gio Gonzalez and Jake Peavy, it's Peavy who actually has the best FIP, xFIP and BB/9 numbers over the last couple years. He's lost some velocity on his fastball, but his control seems to have improved in recent seasons.
That being said, I think health is a deal breaker here. I doubt Jocketty would be willing give up much for a guy who can only be penciled in for 100 innings.

If we are going after question marks I would rather try to get Francisco Liriano

Really?
Lets just make some signings and some trades for the sake of moving some paper around and making some armchair GM's happy.
