Getting paid 9M this year then he is a free agent, he'd be huge in LF for us! He has regressed but I believe his OBP was still around .380.

I like Abreu and would be on board with signing him up, although I would MUCH rather have a RH bat between VottoMatic and Bruuuuuuuuuce-sorry guys I'm getting so anxious for baseball season that I don't even care about the bowl games or the Daytona 500!

I'd consider it if the Angels were willing to give him away for a player to be named later and pick up a healthy chunk of his contract, but otherwise I'm not sure it's worth considering.

He played predominantly at DH last season and the year before he was one of the worst defensive OFs in baseball. Add in the fact that he only OPSed .717 last year, I'm not sure it's worth the gamble.

Bobby Abreu was a fine player in his day. I think that day has passed.

He only played 28 games in the OF last year, and played them pretty poorly. He reminds me of Johnny Damon in that he might have a bit left to contribute offensively, but should make any contribution as a DH in the American League.

+1.

No team is going to trade for him. I'm sure the Angels would give him away if any team would pay a portion of his salary.

He's basically a DH this late in his career. Guy can still hit tho
