View Full Version : Best Fantasy Host?

Some of my long running leagues have been having debates concerning the possible switch to another host for [baseball mostly] their leagues.

I thought I'd poll [though not a poll] those who wanted to chime in on what their favorite fantasy providers were and why.

Does it differ by sport?

Do any offer free keeper set ups?

I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Might help iffen we knew where you played at now. I've liked CBS for both football and baseball. Not sure on keeper option, I'd like to try one of those, but haven't had opportunity. Yahoo is where most of my leagues are, but not too fond of it. ESPN isn't too bad.

Currently on Yahoo in football, hockey, and of course baseball.

I'm a convert from Yahoo to ESPN. Free to play, easy to customize, keeper options, great mobile app & plenty of expert analysis.

I've only played Yahoo (in the same league as you) and like it pretty well. The other hosts constant drive to sell their insider content drives me insane. That said I've heard great things about ESPN. My football league is old school pencil and paper and I absolutely love it, but I doubt many people do that any more.

I've heard that from several folks and I'm starting to consider it. It'll likely mean some new leagues, but I just don't know that its not worth it long term.

The big difference maker right there. I like both ESPN and NFL.com. I do seem to remember a keeper option on NFL.com, kinda foolish for anyone not to have this at this point. ESPN is pretty good I have few qualms about them maybe would prefer a bit more control but it's just because I have some outside the box ideas on fantasy. But when I say that ya have to know I'm nitpicking because for most ESPN has more than enough customization to it. But again the difference maker is cost, ESPN doesn't and NFL.com does (and IIRC more than what I felt is reasonable).

Perhaps a lame question, but one of the things I like on Yahoo! is the fact it tracks all my teams from the past via a fantasy profile, perhaps its narcissistic, but does ESPN also do this so I can show off how cool I am? ;)

If you have a recurring league(s) you can go back to previous seasons. And you might be able to check all teams from the previous season (not 100% positive on this) but definitely not more than that on non recurring leagues.
