Wow Reds are coming up great this offseason, not with just the pitching additions but the rest of the division falling apart. Which move is the single biggest?

1) St Louis losing Albert Pujols
2) St Louis losing Tony LaRussa AND Dave Duncan
3) Milwaukee losing Prince Fielder
4) Milwaukee losing Ryan Braun for a significant chunk of games

Personally, I think the most underrated and biggest loss is STL losing LaRussa and especially Duncan. I don't think they'll be able to make something out of nothing with that entire pitching staff yet again.

What, no vote for the Astros?

Larussa and Duncan got my vote, losing Pujols was a close second. I think that losing Duncan will be the biggest blow with Wainwright coming back from TJ. Who knows what will happen with Lilliquist tinkering with Dave's system.

I'll agree with this.

Definitely losing Duncan as far as that list goes. As a Cards fan I'm more concerned losing Ludnow who stocked the farm for the last 2-3 years.

AP will be missed in 2012 but his salary will not be for the next 10 years.
Fielder was gone before their season ended, no suprise.
Braun will get a reduction or not get suspended as of rumor right now, that's BS IMO & I like him as a player but it's Selig's pet team.

Love this thread.

Gonna have to go with losing Larussa and Duncan, they know how to win

Getting Adam Wainwright back evens the loss of Tony L, Dave D. and Albert combined.

The Brewers officially losing Prince should (hopefully) take the Brewers out of the picture. I voted Prince.

I went with LaRussa/Duncan. All of a sudden, the fire seems to be gone from that club without them... I wager that if they stuck around the owners might have made a reasonable offer for Pujols.

Losing Fielder is probably second for me. Expect a major drop-off in Braun's stats when he comes back, not only due to the PED allegations, but also the lack of that big cleanup hitter behind him. That offense looks pretty weak with only Ramirez, Weeks, and a downgraded Braun to carry them, and I don't see them winning the division unless someone steps up.
