Reading what the projected bids are for the Dodgers makes me wonder. It looks like McCourt will profit between $500 million and $1 Billion on the sale of the team. Current projections of the Reds estimate that if Castellini were to sell the team today he would average about $16 million per year return on the club over what he paid for the Reds.
So my question, doesn't it seem a bit backhanded to complain about losing all your money (as an owner) of a team, when selling your asset would be a capital gain that would make any stock owner jump in joy to see similar gains?
