per rotoworld:

Mat Latos exited Tuesday's start against the Cubs in the fifth inning with an apparent injury.

Latos, who allowed two runs over 4 2/3 innings, left the game after being visited on the mound by Reds' manager Dusty Baker and a team trainer. The exact nature of the injury isn't yet clear, but we should learn more soon.

This one would worry me more than Madson, that's for sure. Hopefully nothing major.

He twisted his ankle on a pitch. He wanted to stay in, but the Reds forced him off the mound. He walked off the mound and across the field to the clubhouse on his own, with no apparent limp. All according to the Cowboy on WLW.

So next week he'll be getting his leg amputated?

;)

LOL! I could understand that for sure. I think we're all a little sensitive to the "TJ" word.

As long as he's healthy and ready to pitch his 1st turn after the season starts, all should be okay.

Especially since I'm gonna be at that game.

It's better than (hurting) his knee," Baker said. "The ground is hard. He kept hitting a hole out there. You could tell when he walked the pitcher that something's not right. He wanted to finish, but we said now's not the time. We have too many guys going down. We thought caution was the best."

Latos walked opposing pitcher Matt Garza, who was trying to bunt a runner to second. Latos then left in the middle of an at-bat by Alfonso Soriano.

"I'm alive and fine," Latos said. "I just put a little ice on it. I'm fine. It was just a precaution."
