Brandon Phillips +/- .300 UNDER - He's a career .270 hitter who reached .300 once: last year when he hit it exactly.

Latos+Cueto +/- 34 wins UNDER - I'd be a little surprised if they hit 30.

Drew Stubbs +/- 40 steals OVER - His OBP will rise this year and give him more opportunities.

Jay Bruce +/- 35 home runs UNDER - He could come close, but I think 35 is his limit for the foreseeable future.

Reds +/- 90 wins UNDER - I think the wins among St. Louis, Cincinnati, and Milwaukee will be spread pretty evenly, but I see Cards on top around 90 to 92. We'll have between 87-89, good enough to keep us in a postseason hunt.

Scott Rolen +/- 18 homers UNDER - Power seems sapped.

Joey Votto +/- 110 rbi OVER - A year of Phillips/Cozart in front of him instead of Stubbs/Renteria will do wonders.

Bronson Arroyo +/- 4.50 era OVER - If by 'over' we mean worse.

Homer Bailey +/- 25 starts OVER - We just don't have anyone else to take those starts. Francis will get his fair share, but I see those more from replacing Arroyo. I don't see Chapman starting many games at the ML level.

Juan Francisco +/- 12 homers OVER - Don't look for much in the way of average, though.

Zack Cozart +/- .280 UNDER - I expect some good offense from him, but not .280 from a rookie short stop. .250-.265.

Devin Mesoraco +/- 12 homers OVER - Yep. Yay.

Bronson Arroyo +/- 35 homers allowed OVER - Yep. Ugh.

Jeff Francis +/- 10 starts OVER - For sure.

Heisey+Ludwick +/- 90 rbi OVER - Ludwick will get a fair amount of games at clean-up, and Heisey could hit 20 homeruns even while splitting time.

Phillips+Cozart +/- 180 runs scored OVER - Sure.

Reds +/- 3 all-stars UNDER - Votto, maybe Bruce and Marshall. Hopefully Latos, but I doubt all of them go.

Drew Stubbs +/- 175 strikeouts OVER - No doubt.

Reds relievers +/- 40 saves OVER - Absolutely.

Jay Bruce +/- .900 ops OVER - Just to be optimistic.

so you think brandon p cant hit 300 b/c he's only done it once but bailey will start 25 and he's never done that :) j/k we all have our guessing. gonna be cool looking back on this imo.

I think if Brandon leads off all season, meaning Dusty will have to resist miscasting him as a cleanup hitter, that he challenges for a batting title. I admit this is a gut feeling. I think it being a 'contract year' and all spurs him on.

You forgot one....

O/U 160 - The number of games in which at least one poster on Sun Deck will complain about that day's starting lineup.

My projections probably appear somewhat pessimistic but the benchmarks listed here in a lot of cases are career highs.

Brandon Phillips +/- .300 OVER - Normally I would say no, but I am reminded of an old Sparky Anderson quote about having guys in their contract year.

Latos+Cueto +/- 34 wins UNDER - Almost no chance. Roy Halladay and Cliff Lee beat this number by 1 last year. 34 is a lot.

Drew Stubbs +/- 40 steals UNDER - Without looking it up, I would guess the number of 40+ SB guys hitting 6 or 7 in the batting order is a VERY short list.

Jay Bruce +/- 35 home runs UNDER - If everything breaks right I would not be surprised if he exceeds 35, but a better chance he is under.

Reds +/- 90 wins UNDER - A week ago I would have said over, but with the recent injuries that may cost a couple of wins.

Scott Rolen +/- 18 homers UNDER - He has hit over 18 once in the last 5 seasons and he's not getting any younger.

Joey Votto +/- 110 rbi OVER - Phillips in a contract year and Cozart will be on more than Phillips and 2011 blackhole creating more opportunities.

Bronson Arroyo +/- 4.50 era OVER - I think Arroyo is done

Homer Bailey +/- 25 starts OVER - I think he gets the job done this year IF he is the #5 starter.

Juan Francisco +/- 12 homers UNDER - He is minor league bound and barring injuries I don't seem him back before September.

Zack Cozart +/- .280 UNDER - He hit over .280 once as a minor leaguer. I expect more 250-260 range.

Devin Mesoraco +/- 12 homers UNDER - He is only going to play half the games and unfortunately I think he struggles this year. I hope I am wrong.

Bronson Arroyo +/- 35 homers allowed OVER - Arroyo cooked, another year of pitching batting practice.

Jeff Francis +/- 10 starts OVER - Hopefully not, but injuries happen.

Heisey+Ludwick +/- 90 rbi OVER - I think we will get less than 90 RBI out of LF this year, but on days when Bruce or Stubbs are out, they will be in the lineup together which will push them just over 90.

Phillips+Cozart +/- 180 runs scored OVER - Its going to be really close. If they are both healthy and bat #1 & #2 I take the over.

Reds +/- 3 all-stars PUSH - I think they have exactly 3.

Drew Stubbs +/- 175 strikeouts OVER - Only an injury or significant bench time prevents this going over.

Reds relievers +/- 40 saves OVER - They were over last year and I expect a higher win total. More opportunites = more saves

Jay Bruce +/- .900 ops UNDER - He is not a high OBP guy so I think he needs to slug better than .550 for this to happen. He's never been over .500, so I will take the under.

Phillipis-under .300/ only been a .300 hitter once I believe

Latos-Cueto-under 34 wins/ thats a lot of wins for 2 pretty young guys, be awesome if they do get there tho

Stubbs- under 40 steals/ hopefully he hits toward the bottom of the lineup, just dont think he gets 40

Bruce- over 35 HR's/ coming out party for Bruce this year

Reds- over 90 W's/ Division title here we come

Rolen- under 18 HR's/ too old

Votto- Over 110 RBI's/ better hitters ahead of him this year

Arroyo-under 4.50 era/ i think he has a comeback year

Bailey- over 25 starts/ another coming out party player

Francisco- under 12 HR's/ just dont think he plays much, unless Rolen gets hurt for extended time

Cozart-over .280/ has showed ton of promise so far

Mesoraco-under 12 HR's/ i dont expect much offense from a rookie catcher

Arroyo- under 35 HR's allowed/ same as above for Arroyo

Francis- under 10 starts/ hopefully he is in the pen and not starting

Heisey/Luddy- under 90 RBI's/ probly not enough consistant playing time for either to get on a roll

Phillips/Cozart- under 180 runs scored/ thats a TON of run for 2 guys, 1 of which is a rookie

Stubbs- under 175 K's/ hopefully less AB's at bottom of lineup!!!

Reds relievers- over 40 saves/ 90+ wins = lots of saves

Bruce- over .900 OPS/ refer to Bruce above

1.) Do'h! Never thought of that. I am not sure what the complications are from that.

2.) I fixed this. Thanks
