I guess his pitch count is pretty high so maybe they will take him out. It's a shame when we had Lohse, he wasn't the pitcher he is in St. louis.

This is embarrasing if you're the Marlins. Lohse is a weak pitcher- pretty much a joke of an opening day starter.

Sorry to be so down on the guy, but dudes who don't strike anybody out make me yawn.

Oh, every single batter who hits the ball just happens to do it right at somebody. I hate Kyle Lohse. I do.

Lohse is a weak pitcher

180+ innings last year and a 3.39 ERA.

Say what you want about the look and color of that new stadium, but that is a HUGE park. Petco huge.

Mike Stanton has hit some VERY deep drives...just fly outs.

If you say so.

He had a .269 BABIP last year...lucky...

6.34 ERA the year before...

Really a number 4 starter at best.

His ERA plus is under 100... he's below average.

I mean, it's amazimg how everyone who hits the ball hits it right at so,ebody when Kyle Lohse is pitching. What skill he posesses.

Why do they build stadiums like this in the era of pitching?

never understand the aura of pitchers parks.

I watched a bit of that game.

The new Miami park is huge. All the pregame stuff was goofy with feathered dancers and mascots. Can we have some baseball please?

Cardinals look like they are for real this year and a force to be reckoned with. I like their lineup with Beltran hitting second.

And there is always Good Kyle and Bad Kyle. I never saw such a schizophrenic pitcher. Good Kyle showed up last night.

The year before last he had that weird injury that nobody in the history of baseball had and was out for a good chunk of the year. Like the sheeth surrounding his muscle wouldn't allow the muscle to expand and he couldn't control the ball. So I don't think that year should be used as any measurement for success or not.

I think he is going to have a big year this year because it's his walk year. The last time he was in a contract year he had the best year of his career.

Also, he is the Cards 4th starter when Carp is in the rotation. I think the only reason why he got the start last night was to keep Wainwright on track to pitch opening day in St. Louis.

So, why did they have the schedule so that Miami plays the Cards for one game, then plays the Reds game two?
