It would seem the answer is yes and no. April and September you can get 5 seats. But if you buy them the day of the game there is a 2 dollar surcharge. I skimmed this so I may have misread it.

My understanding is that they are 5 dollar tickets that you buy at the ticket window the day of the game. 5 bucks gets you in the stadium and then you sorta "freelance" your seats after that. :)

Not if you go up to the window and not buy them online.

Always $5 seats but they do sell out sometimes... Its for the 2 sections in the 500s furthest to the left and right

for premium games they bump them up to $10 (some bobblehead nights, HOF night, etc..)

Maybe there was a change in policy. Or this is wrong. It is on the Reds' website though.

PLEASE NOTE:
A $2-per-ticket surcharge will apply to all same-day purchases at the ballpark ticket windows.

That must be new this year because I get $5 tickets day of game at the window about 10 times a year for the last 3-4 years and they have never charged me $2... Not cool if its true
