I like Kelch- and I have listened to the Cowboy for so long I have become attached. I lay awake at night wondering what flavor icecream he is eating.

"You didn't say he was a polygamist, Chris!"

*silence*

I don't know if Chris could have bailed him out or not, but that awkward pause was better than anything he could have said.

My ears have cringed ever since Kelch's leather lunged maiden season.

Anyone who's ever met Jim Kelch, even in passing, would ever say that about him.
That guy is s super class act.

He was on our show yesterday and made some really good points on the Votto deal, and insights that not many people have thought about on Walt & Castellini:

The correct answer is every flavor.

Ladled on top of some ribs.

Ribs a la mode. With some skyline chili sauce on the side to dip them in.

I'm sure he is, i have class, i'm a nice guy, that doesn't mean i am cut out to be an announcer. Some guys just don't have the voice or personality to announce..

I'm not trying to knock him personally but i cannot stand him announcing, his voice makes me cringe

Right,it's not personal. His voice and lack of enthusiasm is what I dislike.I would love to apply for that gig.

Jim Kelch is the broadcasting equivalent of Curtis Painter, and Thom Brennaman is Peyton Manning. It was night and day having him back on the mic.

His strange insistence on chastising Chris Welsh for an entire inning on his nervousness for Opening Day was rather strangely satisfying.

After being stuck having only the Marlins team to watch/listen to for a game, I will never criticize out guys again. It was horrible, amateur hour.

Jim is certainly a good guy...but I prefer everyone else except maybe Grande.

I would much rather have George Grande over Kelch.

I would much rather have George Grande over Kelch.

I would second that. I always liked George and could never quite understand why so many people dislike them.

I've never been a big fan of Thom Brennamen either, he reminds of a little weasel. And what is up with his laugh? Every time he laughs it sounds like he's saying "Toohaha", or something.

Though he annoys me a little bit less every year.

I do love his dad Marty, I happen to enjoy listening to Welch (another guy people seem to hate on), and like Brantley.
