Big Klu, I love these This Date In Reds History notes, but I wouldn't be broken-hearted if you just skipped the whole 1982 season ;)

I had season tickets for this year and we drank a lot of Hudey to make the losing a little more palatable. That was one bad Reds year.

I went to my first Reds game in 1982, and I followed them more closely than I ever had before. (I had always been a Reds fan, even before I was a baseball fan.) I had started following the Reds more closely in 1980--listening to a lot of the games on the radio, and then 1981 turned out to be a washout. So I was a hardcore Reds fan in 1982, listening or watching almost every game.
