Erase your thoughts/memories of the Boone, Miley, Narron, Mackanin, Baker and go back to when McKeon left and they had to replace him.

Would you had been happy with the hiring of Joe Morgan as the manager? Not sure any of those teams would have been anything too much...but I always thought Morgan would've been a great manager....we'll never know.

FWIW I always (and still do) thought Jeff Brantley would be an excellent pitching coach.

Oh god no. The guy was one of the best players of his generation and one of the greatest to ever man second base, but just listen to him as a broadcaster. He'd be atrocious.

I can't listen to him broadcasting very long....but I do like how he sees things.

Well then we're looking for radically different things in a manager, because I hate how he sees things. Morgan makes Baker look practically progressive.

Morgan at least has some familiarity with the laws of logic. Baker has none.

Baker is a great mgr. and everyone on this board thought he was God in October of 2010. Morgan, I believe, was relieved of his duties from Sunday Night Baseball. I assume because he sucked but I had no problems listening to him. Oral Hersh is the guy I cant' stand to listen to.

He was relieved of his duties after 20 years. That could not have less to do with potentially being a good manager.
