I filed my taxes through Turbotax on March 27th and I still haven't gotten my return. I didn't do direct deposit I did the mailed return and they sent me a debit card that I guess my return will be transferred too but the card still has a balance of 0.00 dollars and I've had it for ten days. Now I know when you have a mailed return it takes longer so I'm not too concerned right now but I was wondering if anyone on here did this my way and got the card and I was wondering how long it took for the money to be deposited on it. Thank you.

I used Turbotax and will never do so again. We e-filed fairly early and did receive our direct deposit refund after several delays. Unfortunately the IRS didn't receive my schedule C or Schedule SE and told me I could avoid the problem in the future by e-filing (which I in fact do every year). I found out later that this was a common Turbotax problem as was a delay in processing.

It was the same for me until this year. Of course, the agent at the IRS didn't know what Schedule C was when I called to find out what was going on (yeah, that is pretty basic thing to know if you are fielding small business calls) so Intuit might not deserve to shoulder all of the blame. Regardless, if Turbotax is no longer going to save time over professional prep, I'll go to the excellent local tax place and keep the money in my neighborhood.

Yep. Love it.
I always opt for a paper check (I don't want the guvment in my bank account). Got both Fed and California returns within two weeks.

Ditto for me. TurboTax is great.
The one year I used an accountant, she screwed up my W-2's and I got audited (and that's just a barrel full of monkeys to go through). It was FY 2009 and I'm just wrapping up with the IRS now. As much fun as a root canal only done by incompetents.

Welp. It's June 12th and I still haven't recieved my refund. Does anyone know of anything I can do? I do have some school loans that I haven't been able to pay yet. Could that hold up my refund.

Filed my brother-in-law's taxes and everything worked perfectly. I suspect my problem came from filing so early before the software was updated and patched.

Never had a problem using Turbo Tax, maybe for this reason. I usually owe and hence wait until the last possible minute to file. :D

If only she hadn't lost that debit card.

Have you checked the status of your return through the IRS website? That might help at least a little bit.

I would be calling Turbo Tax and the IRS daily to find out answers. Just keep after them. The squeaky wheel gets the oil. As long as you are up to date on your loans they shouldn't hold it up. The IRS would notify you if it was a problem.
