Billy Hamilton sounds like the real deal.

Nice link... 29 SB in 23 games is ridiculous. wonder where he fits in over the next 3 or so years if hes ready to come up with cozart and phillips blocking him

They are keeping him at SS all year. I think you see Cozart move to third and Hamilton stay at SS.

We might see Phillips move to third and have Hamilton play 2nd. His range will be appreciated there and his average arm won't be a factor. Phillips playing at 3b will be able to focus more on his batting and Cozart is a fine defensive SS.

Wonder if he ever raced Stubbs?

Probably a good guess. He is in High A ball right now. I see him in Double A at the end of the year and AAA next year. Maybe an Invite to the big league camp. I don't see a rush.

lol u will never see BP move to 3rd. Its crazy what some of you guys say sometimes. What makes you think the reds would ever move one of the greatest 2b to play the game?

Same ones who said move Votto to left to make room for Alonso.

Man what a great point. Moving from CF to RF is like the exact same thing as moving from 2b to 3b.

I think it's going a bit far to name him one of the greatest 2B to play the game, but he is getting old. A position like 2nd will get harder and harder to maintain for a guy like BP as he ages. I think he could still have an elite glove at 3rd and focus more on his hitting. It's not something that is impossible, though it probably is unlikely.

Right now, no way BP is moving to 3B. That said, I think towards the end of his contract it might be a very realistic possibility.

I agree. I also don't think that BHam is going to be ready for the MLB for at least another year after this one. I'm not saying he'd be moved there immediately.
