When we head into NYC to play the Yankees we will be able to use the DH, so my question..

1. Whom do YOU think Dusty will use as the DH?
2. Whom would YOU use as the DH?

either catcher

I assume Dusty will DH Heisey
This is probably the right move. I would consider Mes for a game, but he doesn't even like pinch hitting with his backup catcher so seems unlikely he would DH him. Might not be worth messing w/ the rook for one game anyway.

thats b/c he's scared if 1 gets hurt. odds are they both won't

I am betting we see Mr. Harris as DH in at least 1 game and maybe Cairo/rolen in another. I know Votto would be against it but I would consider it for a game to give him a semi day off yet keep his bat in the lineup.

When/if Leake pitches do we us the DH on Rolen? I say yes.

I'll be willing to bet he puts Ludwick in at DH and let's Hi-C run around the outfield.

Although I really wouldn't mind a lineup with both Mes and Hannigan. Then I would have to watch Ludwick hit... and he is so Hot and Cold (Katy Perry'd).

Not too sure but I think if one starts as a DH he cant take a position later in the game.

The DH can take a position at any time during the game. But if he does that team forfeits the use of the DH for the rest of the game.

NOTE: This came from Wikipedia so take it with a grain of salt.

Dusty will probably DH Rolen, but I think Heisey is the best option.

The Votto idea is interesting, but I think he can play all 162 games at 1B if he's up for it. If he wants to DH and take a breather I would have no problem with that.

Keep Rolen on defense.

DH Ludwick or Heisey.

Heisey has been pretty solid as a pinch hitter this year, and not so solid elsewhere. I let Mes DH in the games he's not starting and get some more MLB at-bats, since they're hard to come by with a guy as as solid as Hanigan in front of him.

That said, Ludwick probably gets to DH, and Heisey starts in LF. Dusty believes in Heisey's defensive prowess, even though it hasn't been great this year.

No way on Mes \ Hannigan. Having both catchers in the games limitis your flexibility in the case you want to pinch run, and screws you if the catcher gets hurt.

I think it will most likely be Ludwig, with Heisey in LF, but think Fraisier may get a game at DH.

Ludwick or Rolen will DH..I also think that will be the right movce. it's only for 2 games so he may split it up between 2 guys

I would be surprised if Frazier is even on the team when that issue arises.

I want Frazier's bat in the lineup as much as possible.

Personaly i think who ever is hot off the bench unless Rolen is hot then give him the rest from the field and play fraizer at third as long as dusty doesnt demote him so he can have is buddy cairo
