Back on this day in 1991 Rickey Henderson stole his 939th career base....and a little over 32 years old!

After winning the MVP and helping his team win the World Series he was up for a new contract. The A's severely low-balled him. When the media asked him his thoughts on this he quipped "they gonna pay me like Mike Gallego....I'm gonna play Mike Gallego"....Gallego of course was a soft-hitting 5'7 second baseman....teammate of course.
