I attended this game. This was the 2nd MLB game I ever attended. This was me and my dad's annual pilgrimage to Cincinnati to watch the Reds play. We usually stayed with my oldest brother and his family who lived, at the time, in Lawrenceburg Indiana. After this year we made better use of our time and would get tickets to a doubleheader for our annual outing.
I don't why Sparky started Borbon? Borbon couldn't have made over a handful of starts in his career. I count five HOF's in both lineups. Six if you count Rose.

Yep - 6 with Rose plus 2 guys that are both very arguable candidates in Concepcion and Al Oliver. Those were loaded teams for the Pirates back then as well as the BRM.
