Without cheating, how many can answer these questions from the 82 Reds...considered one of the worse Reds teams ever..

It’s the 30 year anniversy of one of the worse Reds teams in HISTORY. Here are some of the memorable stats..

John McNamara started as Manager…do you remember who replaced him when he was fired in July?

This 23 year can’t miss OF prospect finished the season hitting .211 with 9 HR and 34 RBI’s and was out of baseball 5 years later…his name?

Johnny Bench’s replacement at Catcher who only hit 1 HR was…

What Reds player led the team with HR’s that season with a whopping 17? Who was second with 13?

Which Red led the team at season end with 57 RBI’s?

Can you name the Reds rotation in which saw 4 out of 5 with 13 losses and the fifth had 18 losses?

What SP for the Reds led the NL in K’s per 9 innings?

One player off that 82 season was with the Reds in 90 when the won the WS…name that player…

I believe Russ Nixon took over the reigns.
Paul Householder for the bust?
Was Oester still on the 90 team?
Perhaps Sabo led in HRs?

No idea of rotation or battery.

I'm guessing Milner but Housholder intrigues me.

Rotation? Soto was k/9 inn guy

Rotation....Soto, Bruce Bereny (sp), Tom Seaver, Frank Pastore, Charlie Liebrandt (sp)
,
Ron Oester on 82 and 90 team

Driessen probably had the 57 RBI

I remember Tom Hume and Joe Price. Any relation to our current pitching coach?

Greg Harris was on that team. He used to work part time in the off season to make ends meet at Yellow Freight where I worked. He's the ambidextrous pitcher who threw from both sides for the Red Sox in a game.
