P

I fear for Arroyo as well. But who knows- maybe he can channel his inner JTM and pull this one out; or perhaps this lineup will shell Hanson.

For the most part he handled the left leaning NYY last week...

texasdave
05-23-2012, 06:33 PM
Yeah, maybe the Reds will MMMMbop Hanson. LOL.

Red Raindog
05-23-2012, 07:11 PM

Red Raindog
05-23-2012, 07:13 PM
lucky to get that ball back -- Prado is scary

RedsFanInBama

What the heck was that?

texasdave
05-23-2012, 07:19 PM
No Chipper. No McCann. No complaints.

Wily Mo Pena reference on Braves broadcast.

texasdave

1-3-5 inning for Arroyo.

The Rage
05-23-2012, 07:23 PM
Braves offense looks lost without Chipper.

RedsFanInBama
05-23-2012, 07:25 PM
How about a professional AB here Heisey?

texasdave
05-23-2012, 07:25 PM
More sacrifice magic.

TheBigLebowski
05-23-2012, 07:25 PM
Heisey....come on....if we're gonna make the stupid decision to give up the out here, at least make it a productive out.

RedsFanInBama
05-23-2012, 07:25 PM
Asking too much I guess.

TheBigLebowski
05-23-2012, 07:26 PM
Absolutely ridiculous decision and a worse at bat. I'm off the Heisey bandwagon.

RedsFanInBama
05-23-2012, 07:26 PM
Wow. Hernandez squeezing Hanson on that pitch.

texasdave
05-23-2012, 07:27 PM
Every run scored by the Reds in the first two games has come via the long ball.

texasdave
05-23-2012, 07:27 PM
Hanson is slow to the plate. You think you could run on him pretty easily.

RedsFanInBama
05-23-2012, 07:28 PM
Well, we'd have a run right now if Heisey could bunt (or hit the ball the other way).

TheBigLebowski
05-23-2012, 07:28 PM
Hanson is slow to the plate. You think you could run on him pretty easily?

Yeah, I bet I could.

texasdave
05-23-2012, 07:29 PM
Slow to the plate. Lots of slow breaking pitches.

RedsFanInBama
05-23-2012, 07:29 PM
I've always liked Ross as a defensive player.

RedsFanInBama
05-23-2012, 07:30 PM
Hanson being REALLY careful with Phillips.

texasdave
05-23-2012, 07:31 PM
Launch one, Jay.

RedsFanInBama
05-23-2012, 07:31 PM
Jay, it would be wonderful to see you break out of this right now.

The Rage
05-23-2012, 07:32 PM
Come on slumpy, break out of it

TheBigLebowski
05-23-2012, 07:32 PM
He's due....but I'm not feeling it right here.

texasdave
05-23-2012, 07:32 PM
He can't hit that Hanson curve.

texasdave
05-23-2012, 07:34 PM
That was a mismatch from the word go. Bruce had no chance at all.

The Rage
05-23-2012, 07:34 PM
Whatever happened to Hanson's velocity? Just a bunch of slow stuff.

Oh yeah, Jay Bruce.........pee freaking you

texasdave
05-23-2012, 07:35 PM
That is why Brandon didn't see anything at all.

TheBigLebowski
05-23-2012, 07:37 PM
The Braves are gonna put their hands on Arroyo tonight...we're going to have to score, and that was not an impressive first.

Fullboat

TheBigLebowski
05-23-2012, 07:38 PM
Hahahaha...anyone else catch that F bomb?

texasdave

I think Fatcisco takes Arroyo deep tonight. But not this time. K.

Fullboat
05-23-2012, 07:41 PM

texasdave
05-23-2012, 07:41 PM
Much better, Bronson.

The Rage

They gave Cozart a hit in the first. Now Thom said he reached on an error.

texasdave
05-23-2012, 08:03 PM
Heisey put the wood on that one and got nothing to show for it.

texasdave

This is shaping up to be the pretty much typical 2012 Reds' game. No offense for six innings. Good pitching. Reds score late.

The Rage
05-23-2012, 08:12 PM
its clear beyond doubt that 2011 was due to medical problems.

He still isn't the same. His fastball is weaker and he isn't as good. 2 month sample sizes suck. That doesn't mean he is not a stable member of the the Reds rotation, but don't look for 2006,2009-10 production. The only reason he wasn't better in 2007-8 was because of his hand numbness which he eventually got medicated and his numbers rebounded.

Matter of fact, this season reminds me of a poor mans version of 2006. I suspect the numbers will show that out in the end.

Stray
05-23-2012, 08:13 PM
Solo shots aren't that bad, seems like most of the ones he's gave up this year came with nobody on base.

ThatPitchIsDunn
05-23-2012, 08:27 PM
Anyone else following on mlb.com's gameday? The "scout" function just claimed that Arroyo hasn't lost anything on his fastball, pouring it in at EIGHTY-SIX miles per hour.

Look out, here comes the cheese.

texasdave
05-23-2012, 08:28 PM
Hanson needs to stop messing around and throw that ball like a man.

Stray
05-23-2012, 08:28 PM

RedsFanInBama
05-23-2012, 08:28 PM
By the way, if you're counting at home, it won't take long. We still have one hit.

texasdave
05-23-2012, 08:29 PM
One questionable hit. A good throw gets Cozart in the first. Kind of a home scoring decision there.

Red Raindog
05-23-2012, 08:29 PM

He's a RH'er --- we are too often helpless looking against them -- maybe Hanny can catch one

what i've noticed about the Indians is that they haven't played many good teams and when they start to play some of those teams they will fall off.
