My dad and I attended this game. The day before, my dad out of the blue came into my room at home and ask me if I would like to go up to Cincinnati and watch the Reds the next day? Is the sky blue? Heck yea! We left early the next day and drove from my home in Cumberland, Ky to Cincinnati, which is about 5 hours or so. We got into town early and went over into the city where they were having the Taste of Cincinnati. We didn't know anything about this or we wouldn't have eaten a big breakfast on our way there. IIRC, my brother who was living in Lawrenceburg, IN came and met us at the game. This is one of my best memories of going to a game with my dad. One of those things you just never forget. Especially since he did it just on the spur of the moment, which was very unusual for him.
I also can remember recording the game on TV which was on WGN that day. I sure wish I still had that recording.
