Too bad Rolen isn't healthy. He vs. Moyer would have been a classic battle 13 years ago.

Another day where Dusty insists Heisey's isn't a good matchup or his swing doesn't fit the pitcher. I wouldn't complain but he never does that with anyone else.

Seriously has Dusty not had 50 or so times last year and 20 times this year where Dusty could say the same about Stubbs.

I'm sorry to draw any negative to this time of the Reds playing well....but Heisey has been key in this Reds good spell and playing plenty well with kinda regular playing time....he has 3 RBI and gets on base 3 times and sits.....just idiotic IMO.

Dont worry. Dusty should be gone after the season

Ironman92

Be patient with Moyer. This guy talked on air for 10 minutes yesterday about pitching being a chess match...Dustyball could let him go 7 2/3.....he better not get past 5 innings. What pitcher would be easier to work and foul off his pitches with 2 strikes? Few will get hittable first pitch strikes...patience is key IMO and getting something out of your first AB will be key in knocking him out the 2nd time through.

We'll see....I say we win 10-5 or lose 5-3.

Obviously or he wouldn't be in his 25th season.....but Moyer has never been a strikeout pitcher and Bruce missed that by 3 feet. You know he's throwing 67....Christ he just hit one his last at bat. Votto adjusted and took what he gave him....Bruce tried to clear the river.

Heisey can't stand prosperity. Every time we harp about him getting extended PT, he goes and does stuff like he did the other night where he has a 9-pitch AB where the pitcher doesn't throw a single pitch in the strike zone.

When did Chris Heisey become God on this message board?

Heisey can't stand prosperity. Every time we harp about him getting extended PT, he goes and does stuff like he did the other night where he has a 9-pitch AB where the pitcher doesn't throw a single pitch in the strike zone.

I agree that Heisey has not always made good on opportunities. But I really don't like Ludwick ABs.

Uh....can that possibly discredit his 3 RBI, 3 times on base game yesterday? A 9 pitch at bat....

I think you misunderstood me. I'm not saying I would sit him. Just saying he tends to have some really bad games/ABs every time you think they're going to ride with him for a while, and it seems to give Baker second thoughts.

I know.....he does.....but Dusty doesn't seem to do that with others. He's far from perfect but his most starts ever in a month and he's hitting .323 in those starts.....gotta be taken into account.

Most importantly....Reds win

Another day where Dusty insists Heisey's isn't a good matchup or his swing doesn't fit the pitcher. I wouldn't complain but he never does that with anyone else.

Seriously has Dusty not had 50 or so times last year and 20 times this year where Dusty could say the same about Stubbs.

I'm sorry to draw any negative to this time of the Reds playing well....but Heisey has been key in this Reds good spell and playing plenty well with kinda regular playing time....he has 3 RBI and gets on base 3 times and sits.....just idiotic IMO.

Utterly ridiculous. Clueless Dusty Baker. Veteran Creaminess is a drug for Dusty. An opiate that he simply cannot resist.

Anyone notice the veins on Giambi's arms? When they're distended like that, usually means steroids.

He said he was sorry. Geez.

Were they using super balls out there today? Anyone remember super balls? Two out of three works every time.

Pedal to the metal and don't stop until you reach 94 wins.

Latos gave up five hits. Good
All five were home runs. Bad.
All five were solo shots. Ugly.

I still can't believe Frazier hit a homerun by throwing the bat at the ball. Latos was good even though it doesn't look like it in the box score. He was way more efficient...the ball was just flying like crazy today.

You would think a happy medium could be reached somehow. I don't want every game to be 2-1. But all these home runs kinda cheapen them. Well, as long as the Reds get their fair share, or more, all is good.

You should have been at the game. 4/5 weren't cheapies. If BP doesn't hit that 3 run bomb. We all would have felt Latos intolerant.

I was there when he pitched on Tuesday against Atlanta. Latos will definitely bring more good than bad.

Yet there Heisey is starting the first game of the series against the Pirates.
