Hi Guys, I'm making my first trip to GABP. Was wondering how far this hotel was to the field. Can I walk there? Any cool bars I should visit? I'm heading up for the 2 games against the Tigers next Friday and Saturday. Thanks for the help!

Yea you can walk but you have to walk across a bridge and itll be about 20 minutes... there is however a shuttle thats goes from a few places in Newport over to downtown and its $1. I know one of the stops is really close to the hotel. Check it out and have fun at the games, I'll be there Saturday!

Are you bringing family, if so there are quit a bit of things to do there in Newport. Plus like the other guy said, its about a 15-20 minute walk from the ballpark. The bridge you need to walk over is pretty cool and there is always the Newport Aquarium to take your family to. We go to a couple games every summer and we always visit the aquarium. Have fun, GABP is a pretty good place to watch a ballgame from. I've never sat in the nosebleeds, but so far haven't found a bad seat.

Regarding restaurants, bars and the like, you picked a good place to stay. Newport on the Levee is one of the biggest entertainment areas in the Cincinnati area (even if it's techincally in Kentucky :laugh:)
