The only thing worse than some of the posts on Sundeck is the city of Cleveland....

Heisey CF

Phillips 2B
Bruce RF
Frazier 3B
Ludwick LF

I think I just threw up in my mouth. Valdez starting AND hitting second. Dusty is determined to see Votto have the lowest RBI totals for a possible MVP player ever. I would love just once for some reporter to "MAN" up and ask Dusty why can't Hanigan or even Frazier hit 2nd. Heck put Fraizer 4th, put Phillips first and Heisey 2nd..

I like Valdez on our bench because he's so versatile, and I'm cool with how we throw him a rare start here and there, but man he can't be hitting 2nd.

Hopefully he goes like 3-5 tonight.

No problem with Valdez getting a start....just bat him 8th.

Any other person in the lineup would be better at the 2 spot.

If he was a good candidate to hit 2nd....well he's start far more often.

Heisey
Phillips
Votto
Frazier
Bruce
Ludwick
Hanigan
Valdez

Well pitching matchup favors us tonight, but favors Tribe tomorrow with Lowe going against Leake and I would call Thursday's day game a toss up as both pitchers are about the same. WE really need to take tonights game and get the bad taste of Sunday out of our minds.

Could be why Cozart is out.

He could go 6 for 6 and it still wouldn't be smart. I remember when Paul Janish was first brought up and they kept saying he is only up for his defense as he is not ready for the big leagues offensively (Alex Gonzalez or someone went down with injury)....knowing that information Dusty threw Janish in the 2 spot some when he played.

Dusty could bat them in alphabetical order and make them hit from their opposite side tonight and they should be able to beat this chump going for the Indians. Especially with Johnny Cueto on the mound.

Don't say that. We couldn't beat Jordan Lyles of the Astros who was wallowing at AAA, and wasn't doing that well there.

In his last three starts this is his line: 15.2IP 23H 17ER 6BB 6K. If the Reds are going to make the playoffs and then do anything when they get there they have to start pounding this type of pitcher. Enough of the cap-tipping already.

2. Baker's lineups bother me.

That being said, pitching is the name of the game. We need Latos. Ondrusek, and Marshall to get it together. I'm not a big fan of either Masset or Bray, but are they ever going to get healthy or what?

No wonder we can't find any left handed hitter, they're all playing for other teams.

Hey Walt, do you think there's a reason that whenever we start a righty, the opposition has a bunch of left handed hitters in the line up? Keep watching baseball for a few more years and maybe this will dawn on you.

I'd have no problems throwing Frazier in the cleanup spot right now. I don't know that he'd do a lot better than Phillips or anything, but the way it would affect the rest of the lineup would be awesome. BP could hit leadoff where he prefers, Cozart could hit 2nd where he prefers, and Frazier would have a chance to keep knocking in runs.

Not sure how a "lack of money" is the issue, we just spent how much on Votto and Bruce? as for depleted, the talent is there, just not this year. Problem could be solved within house, but won't.

Ludwick is like Gomes- he is ok against left handed pitchers. He has no business playing against right handed pitchers. We didn't need another guy who is ok against left handed pitchers. We certainly didn't need to spend $2,000,000 for one.
