It isn't above the shoulders. He just tires easily. Now he probably needs more work. Sorta of like the Bailey of the bullpen.

When you consistently walk the first hitter you face and do nothing to change the problem, then consistently throw that dopey pitch in the dirt with a runner in scoring position, you are not the sharpest pencil in the box.

Lets say Heisey and Cozart reach, do you hit Valdez for Stubbs? I do....here is to hoping we get to find out what Dusty would do.

Stubbs would be asked to bunt in that scenario.

If a player not named Joey Votto doesn't know how to bunt, that's on them. It's not a difficult skill to be able to sacrifice a runner from first to second.

Heisey gives nothing to this team though, he doesn't hit for power or average and swings at the most asinine pitches you will ever see. He's also slower than dirt for a centerfielder and isn't a threat to steal any bases

Ignorant

And he just proved it

Heisey averages 3.88 from home to 1st....Stubbs averages 3.75

Stubbs is 0/14, failed bunt and 2 baserunning errors and Heisey has 1 flipping plate appearance and works a tough walk and steals 2nd. He had 28 starts over 35 games and hit .302

Not sending Bruce was fine. He wasn't running on contact. But Ludwick was running right when the ball was hit. He would have scored without a throw. Berry sucks and likely cost us this game.

100% correct, no reason not to send Ludwick that was a clear hit from the second it left the bat and it was way deep enough a throw wouldn't have been close. Berry being Berry....awesome. If 3B coaches had a WAR stat he would be -1.0 just after today.

He just has no feel for the game. Remember him sending Bruce when the cutoff man had the ball in short left when Bruce was still a step away from third? Then he holds Ludwick just now. It's incredible how poor he is at his job.
