Heisey is very good as a pinch hitter and gets alot of his batting points there but when he is an everyday starter somehow the light goes off and hits awful. Also all the nice catches Heisey makes Stubbs makes alot easier because he gets to them faster with his speed

One time in his career has he had regular starts for even a month and it was from May 13th to about June 20th. He hit .302....Stubbs has played every day since he came up....not sure if he ever hit .300 over that many games.

Adam Dunn hit most of his HR when the Reds were up by 4 runs.

Reds have scored 1 run in the last 13 innings Cueto has pitched. When you have 3 major league bats in a lineup you can't afford pitching mistakes.

And I don't care if the Pirates are tied with us right now...they are going to fall apart after the break. We just have to somehow get the hitting to improve...that might mean a trade or some of these guys hitting up to their potential.

If, I said IF we lose this game we're still .500 on a West Coast road trip before the break with a game to take the series from the Dodgers and then going up against San Diego...remember how horrible we would do on the West Coast in recent years? I always expect the worst. We split a four gamer with the Giants, and as of right now we're a game up on the Dodgers and with a loss still have a chance to take the series against them. I like our odds.

Actually, no. If two teams are tied for the division lead after 162 they have a 1 game playoff to determine the winner. Unless the loser would be a Wild Card and then they fall under your formula. So, once again, you're wrong.

Who else in Major League Baseball would be running a guy as bad as Drew Stubbs out there in the 2 hole for half a season?

After tonight:

.218 BA

I'm beyond fed up with this. It's one of the most ridiculous things I've seen regarding our Redlegs in almost 40 years of watching them.

Why does it continue to happen?

7.0 IP 7 H, 3 ER, 7 SO, 0 BB, 0 HR. 7 innings. 3 runs. No walks. 7 K's and you criticize that? If the offense showed up at all the Reds probably win. Johnny pitched ok, but it was a below average performance FOR HIM. That Dodgers' lineup isn't full of world beaters at the moment. Obviously the loss isn't on him, but it wasn't a stellar outing.
