Following this team this year has been very hard. Such a underachieving pile of fecal matter. They are on pace to score 682 runs in a hitting friendly park. Come on. We have given up less runs than the freaking San Francisco Giants and this team isn't 15-20 games over?

Either get it together this series or time for some heads to roll.

I'm flattered. ;) Just gotten very lucky, I guess, because I pretty much have seen games with all the pitchers.

I'd kill to follow the Reds out west for a week. Never been to California.

When has the West Coast trip not been difficult for the Reds? It's easily our toughest stretch of games and will virtually always be. It couldn't have happened at a better time, allowing the team 4 days to get their minds right for a grueling and exciting 2nd half of the season. Which by the way starts off against the surging Cardinals. It's a guarantee I'll be there two nights to see that. Look for the guy with the really huge fake moustache.

We don't play Pittsburgh for a month. Who knows what the circumstances will be come that time.

Let's focus on what we can control. OK, what the boys in Red can control...

The Red hot Mat Latos is pitching tonight in his old home field. (comfort zone??) The fact that it's him vs Volquez is pretty amazing, especially after last night's game being against Harang. We're in a good position to sweep this series or take 3 of 4. And if we don't, that's ok.

There isn't a big enough offensive difference between Mes and Hanigan to justify giving either more starts. Their value is with how comfortable their pitchers are with them, and our starters have been in a good groove. Why mess with it?

I know some people say how will Mes ever learn how to handle the others if he never does, spring training or if Hanigan gets injured.

He wasn't even trying to hit a fly ball with that swing. And it's not a knock on him, the entire team sucks at situational hitting.

No, after those two really good pitcher pitches by Volquez to put him down 1-2 he looked to just put it in play. If Volquez could pitch like that to everyone he'd be onto something.

As is....Heisey has sucked one AB and knocked in the only RBI with the other.
