It was easy but I 100% drilled this lineup.

Either BP didn't meet with Dusty or he didn't convince him.

We'll win tonight by 5+

Stubbs typically has very solid games after someone else plays in his spot. I bet he gets on 2+ times and scores 2+ runs.

At this point I will watch the rest of the season, enjoy the performances of certain players, but my "expectations" of the playoffs are gone. IF your leader refuses to change to adapt to think outside of the box to get the club going, then why have high expectations.

Reliving greatness?

2008 Corey Patterson and his nearly 400 AB hits .205 with an OPS in the .580's. His best was an 0-19 (part of a 1-29 stretch) and 0-23.

The next year more greatness...Willy Taveras who had 400 AB and an OPS of .558 topped everyone with an 0-17, an 0-19 and an 0-35.

Neither got to start 7 straight during.

Then I vote he gets every other day off --- that would help the team on those days he does not play!

As much as I hate the city of Pittsburgh there is no doubt that PNC Park is a beautiful place to take in a game. I highly recommend a trip there if you can swing it.

this, i'll be happy if they make the playoffs but not counting on it or them to do well in the playoffs

We lost power last week with those crazy storms down here in Huntington. We bought the montly mlb.com thing so i coudl watch on my laptop in the car.

Well, we were blacked out. Dumb move on my part.

Anyway. Rather than cancelling, I kept it, because Im going to the beach next week.

Will i still be blacked out since I BOUGHT it in Huntington, or will it read my location as NC and allow me to watch?

Of the regular non-catcher position players, Drew Stubbs is LAST in batting average, on-base, slugging, & .OPS. He does lead the team in strikeouts. The guy is a farce and it will take Jocketty stepping in to get rid of him. He needs to go. Same with Rolen.

Calling it like you see it is reality, not negativity. I fall in the minority in supporting Dusty Baker generally. The fact is the Reds played their best ball of the year when Rolen & Stubbs were out. Ludwick, Frazier, & Heisey (while all flawed) are better players right now than Scott & Drew. The problem is Dusty will play both if they are healthy to the detriment of the team. Take the temptation away I say.

It doesn't need better players, it just needs some left handed players.
Back when Hank Aaron played, "left-handed hitters" knew their shame and feigned right-handedness.

sorry I'm not a "dusty sucks" guy. But career wise Baker had a better average against right handers than left handers. And therein may lay part of the problem. Although i can't see how a guy who knows as much baseball as him would fail to recognize the problem.

it was the gamewinning HR after we blew the 3-0 lead to Milwaukee. One of the biggest hits of the season. really.

Don't hate any player. Seems like a nice guy.

Not a winner, though. Would prefer winners on the teams I root for
