Walt actually may not have much choice. Could be that so many teams are within shouting distance of the 2nd WC that GMs are unwilling to appear to be folding the tent in July to their fanbases (although I can't see Walt coming away without a left-handed bat like Kotsay at the bery least). What would you do thoguh if the 26-man as it now stands were all you had to work with the rest of the season?

Id be ok with it. I don't think we have the prospects to get a huge bat, I think we might get a LH bat, like you said, a Kotsay. Start playing Frazier 5-6 times a week, and he just might be as prolific as a Quentin at this point. I'd still consider putting Hamilton in CF right now in AA, and if he can handle it for 4-5 weeks consider calling him up.

I wouldnt be surprised if we stood pat. Im with you guys though. We at least need a LH bat to come off the bench
