Amir Garrett continues to provide underwhelming performances. This kid needs a lot of work. His present practice of being a two sport athlete is obviously not bearing fruit. Hopefully his bad results will engender a more singular committment to a baseball future.

Garrett wasn't that bad at all tonight. Alot of guys don't put up great numbers in rookie ball. Cueto looked unimpressive in his 2005 rookie ball season and actually looked better in the FSL for 6 innings.

Bill Mitchell (http://twitter.com/billazbbphotog) was at the AZL Reds game tonight and had this to say about Garrett:

Garret showed some potential but lots of inconsistency. FB up to 94, decent curve. Very raw but a live arm. Needs lots of work.

In his last eight starts Quezada has the following line:

40IP 29H 8ER 22BB 31K 1.80ERA. He has given up 1ER or less in seven of those eight starts. Control is still iffy.
