Let's hope so. Know how those balls fly out of coors. And Rockies hitters always seem to hit well vs us.

Arroyo at Coors Field is nerve racking he has a 8.84 ERA and has allowed 7 HR in 18.1 over his career but most of that was the terrible game at the end of last year.

Could be a wild one in Coors tonight with Arroyo pitching.

Rick Porcello stinking up the joint tonight. How about Bailey for Porcello+solid prospect?

Porcello's style would fit in well at GAB and Bailey would be a upgrade to the Tigers staff. Plus we get a prospect to stock.

lol. The Reds payroll between 85-89 was the same rank as Lindner's 2001-05 era. It was low. Cast does not spend big on the team. His biggest move was getting Chapman, something Lindner would have done himself. Jocketty hasn't done to much either and has been defeated on the Latos and Rolen deals so far.

Wanting to win and being in position to win are 2 different things. Lindner's biggest flaw was thinking Bowden was cool. When Bowden got fired the Reds brought in Bailey,Cueto,Bruce,Phillips and Arroyo in less than 3 years. Joey Votto was the only Bowden leftover.

But keep on thinking Cast is different. Wanting to win, bleh. Marge wanted to win so bad, she destroyed the Reds organization and set it back for a decade.

Wow... Honest question here... Why are you on a Reds board?

Yes... They sign home grown talent... Just like that super lame team known as the big red machine... In fact that has been a constant of all reds owners.
In fact the reds go beyond home grown talent and are known to target kids that grew up in cincy...

Homegrown talent and cincy kids are two parts of the core identity of this franchise for over a century... You need to find yourself a new team. The Marlins or Angels seem more your style.

First... Marge did win. One series and should have had another during the strike season where they had the best record in baseball but did not make he playoffs. More importantly... For all her faults, one of her priorities was always to keep ticket prices low so families could attend. I believe, but I would have to verify, that every year of her ownership after the first, the reds had the best payroll to ticket price in he majors.

Second, castellini has increased payroll at percentages that far exceed any increases in attendance. Plus in the most recent ltc's he has basically committed to continued increases in payroll for the next 4 years.

You know what... I am going to buy peace and pleasure during game threads How about I search your posts and pick 10 of your negative predictions. If 6 come true I will send you one hundred bucks... But if you bat .500 or less, you promise to pick a new team and leave the deck. Do we have a deal?

Again, Howsom put that together along with the Bill B drafts. Marge lucked out into a low payroll WS champion. Gutted the farm system and then destroyed the Reds.

She sucked.

Dominos. Just think. If Cordero accepts the two-year offer he probably starts the season as the closer. I am guessing he doesn't lose the closer role in Spring Training no matter what his numbers are. In that case Chapman probably starts the season in the rotation. Leake probably starts in AAA.

And who knows how it plays out from there.
