With Tulowitzki having been out the majority of the year, who would you say is the current frontrunner?

Jimmy Rollins or Cozart. They're 1 and 2 in Fielding PCT.

No way does a rookie win it. I'm not saying it's right or wrong, just don't see it happening. Without looking it up, I can't remember the last time a rookie won a GG.

Just looked it up....no SS has EVER won the GG in their rookie year. SO if he did it would be pretty historic.

Maybe as an OFer, IDK, I was talkin about SS's tho. It had never happened as a SS.

Fred Lynn, Ichiro, and Carlton Fisk - all Rookie Gold Glove winners.

With the Reds contending and the Phils fading- Cozart stands a chance.

I understand that those guys won a GG, but none of them were SS's is what I was getting at. GG is usually one of those awards that you have to build up a reputation for good defense before you win one....USUALLY!!!

Yeah...Rey Ordonez won in his 2nd-4th years....but had too many errors to overtake his insane defensive highlights his rookie year.

What happens if Rollins is traded to an AL team? How would that affect the GG for SS for both leagues? Does Cozart becomet the front runner for NL and Rollins competes for AL?

Same scenario played out in 1985
Buddy Bell won the gold glove every year with Texas
Got traded to Reds mid season, George Brett won 1985 Gold Glove
