The Cubs have tried to trade Garza to the Reds, but it's doubtful the sides will complete a deal, Danny Knobler of CBSSports.com reports.

Not to be a stickler, Beni, but how is this thread any different than the already existing trade targets/rumors thread?

There was an article on Yahoo sports a few days ago that stated that Garza is damaged goods. He went for an mri on his arm and has fluid on his triceps. Cubs downplayed it, but the guy writing the article said it was a red flag.

For a thread to be "official" the correct forms must be filled out and submitted to the home office where it will be reviewed. If approved by management a fee of $200 must be submitted, by money order, before final approval.

Because its not 24 pages long and could just focus on today's rumors, which would be easier for people to sift through. I also think it helps to have a thread title that is easily searchable and/or archivable just in case anything major happens today and people want to reference the thread later.- much like the difference between a draft thread leading up to the draft and the actual draft day thread.

That said, if people prefer the old thread I'm fine with that too (feel free to delete this). No pride in authorship.

Raisor does not need to be shielded by the laws of Delaware. Delaware needs to be shielded by the law of Raisor.

I understand the intent of starting a new thread, but I would prefer not to have two open threads discussing essentially the same topics.
