I don't feel it's fair to call three lost games a losing streak. We will be fine. Remember we are without the NL MVP leader and didn't have Phillips in the line up for two games same as Rolen, I think that we just came to a slow down its no big deal

Bruce has been really disappointing in this stretch. When our top guys go down you need people to step up, while others have Bruce has not. I know he's streaky and all, but I wish we could count on him.

Weeks strikes out at about the same rate as Stubbs. Wasn't he recently a 300+ hitter and considered one of the best 2nd basemen in the league? He's really gone downhill....

He's hitting .211 when he doesn't start.

Mainly because they just don't play it in Europe and the IOC is run by Europeans. If someone from Asia or S. America was in charge, both baseball and softball would still Olympic events.

I think it'll be close. Crazy to think that out of the Bruce-Stubbs-Ludwick trio Bruce could end up with the worst batting average.

Broxton didn't throw the ball into center. Nor did he lose the ball on the next stolen base attempt.

Not Broxton's fault. These game's happen. Sucks it has to be when trying to avoid the sweep.

Game isn't over, but might be time to root for a Pittsburgh loss.

Latos was dominant- why do we have to go 'by the book' and bring in setup guy for 8th then Chapman. Why not let Latos finish the 8th at the bottom of the order with 97 pitches, then go to Chapman???

I'm not giving up on this game, but if we don't pull it out, I'm probably going to pin it on the lack of any production from one through sixth in the order. That makes more sense than blaming the guy that drove in all of our runs through the first 8 innings.
