Don't know for sure but A's could have a shot at the MLB mark when they won 20 in a row in 2002 they got 6 during that run and something like 14 on the year.

rolenmvp

Time for Homer to get back on track. First two Metropolitans reach in the top of the second. Homer gets away with a middling fastball right down Broadway.
Then makes a nice pitch to put Bay away.

I'm surprised they sent Bailey back out there. He's struggled, is up over 90 pitches, and most of our relievers haven't gotten any work since Sunday.

Biff Pocoroba
08-16-2012, 08:50 PM
Not a fan of potentially losing a game to the Cardinals and Pirates right before it will be 3 nights on one of them winning regardless.

what you are basically saying is that you never like to lose a game on the Pirates and Cards. Because if it's going to happen, it's not that bad to happen after a five game winning streak and with the Cubs coming in for four games. If we do our job this weekend, then we're guaranteed to gain on one team, if not both.

Check his starting stats and bench player stats this year. Way better as a starter.

He's had 25 plate appearances in the last 22 games.....Stubbs has 88 but is hitting .218 so it's fair.....since Stubbs return he is also hitting .218.

No one think Heisey is worthy of more than 350 AB....but your generalizations are ridiculous.....Heisey has started 5 times in the last 19 games.....but has scored 21 runs in his last 25 starts.

I guess Heisey should give a better effort.
